{"id":1359,"date":"2015-03-22T16:40:18","date_gmt":"2015-03-22T21:40:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/montgomeryminds.com\/blog\/?p=1359"},"modified":"2015-03-22T16:42:29","modified_gmt":"2015-03-22T21:42:29","slug":"can-i-still-make-an-image-copy-of-my-system-drive-if-i-have-bad-sectors","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/montgomeryminds.com\/blog\/can-i-still-make-an-image-copy-of-my-system-drive-if-i-have-bad-sectors\/","title":{"rendered":"Can i still make an image copy of my system drive if i have bad sectors?"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>YES<\/h1>\n<p>with Macrium Reflect, my favorite <a title=\"Some Thoughts on Drive Imaging Software\" href=\"https:\/\/montgomeryminds.com\/blog\/some-thoughts-on-drive-imaging-software\/\">disk imaging program.<\/a> (I pay for it, cuz the free ones are too risky \/ unsupported, and it&#8217;s too important to risk.)<\/p>\n<p>First, you should run <a title=\"CHKDSK Windows cmd line tool \u2013 Microsoft overview\" href=\"https:\/\/montgomeryminds.com\/blog\/chkdsk-windows-cmd-line-tool-microsoft-overview\/\">chkdsk<\/a>, perhaps 2 or even 3 times. This can take an hour or more to run.
